Hello, my name is Gayla Foster and I teach 5th grade Science. I have been teaching for 17 years. This is my sixth year in Pickens County. I have 10 children, 5 of my own and 5 step children. They range in age from 8 to 29. Four of our children are married. We have 2 children in college, one in high school and one 7 year old who is in second grade this year at Harmony. We have granddaughter, Enola Aylee who is 16 months old. We just found out that we have another grandchild on the way that will be here in March! Our family also has two Huskies and one dachshund, five cats, 1 bird, one horse, a whole lot of chickens, quail, and ducks!
In April, 2007 I completed my Masters Degree in K-8 Science. I am currently working on my doctoral degree. I hope to finish sometime in 2010! My hobbies include spending time with my wonderful husband and children, swimming, shelling, gardening and making homemade jams and jellies. My favorite colors are purple and blue. My favorite dessert is strawberry shortcake, and my favorite time of year is summer!
