5th Grade

We are almost finished with Chapter 6 and how living things are classified. This last week of October we will be looking at vascular and nonvascular plants, plants with and without seeds, and plants that have flowers and fruit and those that produce pine cones.  Our BIG FAT CHAPTER 6 TEST will be on Tuesday, November 10.

4-H

Our next 4-H meeting will be Tuesday, November 17th.  Keep collecting POP TABS.  Our community service project is collecting aluminum pop tabs of all kinds to recycle.  The money received from these pop tabs will then be donated to help support the Ronald McDonald House.  All 5th grade classes in the county compete to see who can collect the most.  The class with the most wins an ice cream party in May and their picture in the Pickens Progress.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  Email is the fastest way for me to respond back to you.  My email address is gaylafoster@pickens.k12.ga.us.   If you call the school, you will need to leave a message on my voice mail.  I will not be able to return your call until the end of the school day.
